This year, a number of ditlerent companies and institutions
across the UK are taking part in an event called Take your
Child to Work Day'. The idea first originated in the US
where it is now a national event in April each year. But
gradually it is gaining popularity in the UK, too.
Jessica Thomas, aged 14. from Swansea in Wales, is
particularly excited about the day I'm going to work with
my dad, she says. He's an engineer and I think builds parts
of planes
