Much/Many używamy najczęściej w zdaniach przeczących i pytających, many kiedy mówimy o czasownikach policzalnych a much kiedy mówimy o niepoliczalnych.
A lot of używamy w zdaniach twierdzących. Oznacza dużą ilość czegoś lub liczbę osób/rzeczy.
A lot używamy jako przysłowek, najczęściej ląduje on na końcu zdania i nigdy nie stawiamy go przed rzeczownikiem. Oznacza często, bardzo lub wiele.
