Łaziska Górne is situated in the southern part of the Katowice Upland and at the southern end of the Upper Silesian Industrial District.
They are adjacent to the following towns: Mikołów, Orzesze and the commune of Wyry.
Łaziska is situated 18 kilometers south of the voivodeship capital - Katowice.
At the end of 2018, the mayor of Orzesze announced public consultations regarding the change of the administrative boundaries of the Orzesze Commune with the Łaziska Górne Commune, by disconnecting a part of the area belonging to the Orzesze Commune and joining it to the Łaziska Górne Commune.
