Bangladeshi boat schools

During the rainy season in Bangladesh, the roads are under water so the students go to boat schools. Every day, a boat picks up the youngers and stops at the side of the river for the morning's classes. There's one teacher on each boat and around 30 students. At midday, the boat takes the children home and picks up older students for the afternoon session.

Druk Padma Karpo School

Few people live in the Himalayan Mountains of northern India, but in the village of Shey, there's a very modern school. The Druk Padma Karpo School is for boys and girls not only from Shey, but also from villages further away. The building is new and nearly half of the 800 students live at the school. They have cultural days when they study the cooking, art, history and dance of the area.
