Hi! I'm Imogen and I'm English. I'm different from most teens because I wear vintage clothes. I love the patterns and colours. That's the reason it makes me sad to see everyone my age wearing only tracksuits and trainers! Most of my clothes are from the 1970s. I buy them in special shops and also online. I save money and I feel excited when I find something really good!
It's not just for the style, either. Vintage clothes are usually well-made. Obviously, I always clean them before I wear them.
Some people can be surprised when they see vintage clothes. When I take the bus or underground, they look at my clothes and smile. I don't mind! My favourites include my colourful skirt and leather boots. I also have a great jacket and purple polo-neck.
It's not just shoes and clothes, of course. I am always looking for vintage accessories, like necklaces and glasses. I try not to buy anything from a modern shop – except tights, of course!
