One of the best places to
go for a day trip in the
south of England is
Longleat. There are lots of really
exciting things to do in this huge
country park.
First of all, Longleat has the largest
safari park in the world that isn't in Africa. Many extremely
dangerous animals live there, so you have to drive through
the safari park, not walk. The lions sometimes get very
close to the cars, and the monkeys climb over cars! Some
people are quite terrified. People with new cars shouldn't
go into the monkey area because the animals will probably
break something on their car.
You can see more fascinating animals at Longleat if you go
on the Jungle Cruise. This is a boat trip that takes you
across the lake to see the gorillas on the other side. There
are sea lions in the lake, and the best part of the trip is
when the boat stops to feed these animals. But be careful:
you might get quite wet when the sea lions jump out of the
water to catch the fish!
