Next weekend I am taking part in a reenactment of a historical event that my town is very proud of. It’s a victorious battle from over a century ago and my friends and I have been reading about it a lot for the past year. I think we really know everything about it. Every year on the day of the battle, the whole town gathers for the reenactment. We always build three little huts in the middle of the battlefield to be destroyed during the battle. We don't use real bombs of course, just a little bit of explosive materials strategically placed by a professional. The battle is staged for the past 20 years but it’s only this year we, the students, are finally participating as well. We have already prepared most of our costumes but the fireworks specialist hasn't finished setting up the field yet. So far, it has been great fun, but now I am getting a bit nervous as I have never performed in front of such a huge audience before.
