1. The earthquake struck when we were sunbathing on the beach.

2. At the beginning we didn't exactly know what happened. We saw people running around and screaming and only moments later we realised that the earth was shaking. Fortunately, we still had phone connection so we could contact our friends and check if they were OK.

3. I rescued one person. It was a small boy with a puppy. He returned to the house to rescue his dog but got trapped inside. I decided to help him. I didn't even think twice, I just knew that it was the right thing to do.

4. I was terrifying because I had never experienced anything like that before. I did read a bit about how people should behaving during an earthquake but to experience it is a completely different story.

5. I do not expect any award for what I did. I think it was a human reflex and every single person would do exactly the same thing if they had to.
