A long time ago, the whole world was divided into two sides - the first one was constantly in the sunlight, and the second didn't get any sunlight at all. Cherokee people lived on the dark side of Earth. For many years they have been thinking of how to get the Sun to shine there too. One day, a brave Possum decided to steal the Sun with his tail, but it burnt his fur and he failed. The next animal to try was a bird, but he also didn't succed, because the Sun burnt his feathers. Finally, the clever Grandmother Spider came and stole the Sun. She used her web to put it in a clay pot and then she carried it home. Since that day the Sun shined on both sides and everyone was happy.
