I think that it is hard to prove that there were fewer crimes in the past as we have internet, television and telephones. Thanks to that everything is passed from one person to another and more people know what is happening. It wasn’t possible in the past, so maybe that’s why some people believe in that. Also we have advanced technology and possibilities to investigate crimes.
